I continue showing my appreciation for Scottish music with this metal cover of Keep You On My Side by CHVRCHES. Imagine that, a Norwegian man covering a Glaswegian band! I discovered their music while playing Forza Horizon 4, and after hearing their song Never Say Die dozens of times, I was craving more. After listening to all three of their albums, I became an instant fan, and Keep You On My Side became one of my favorite songs, thanks to Lauren’s expressive voice, mixed with vintage synths and pulsating samples. As a guitar player, I started imagining how those elements could translate to guitar. The result is a heavier version with detuned riffs, Wah-Wah moans and Metallica-esque harmonies.
